History of Quadcross

1980
1980’s
The ATV was originally conceived and developed during the 60’s and 70’s, however, it wasn’t until the 80’s that the ATV was used in a competitive manner. Throughout the early-part of the decade, the Honda ATC250R was the machine of choice; a 3-wheeled ATV. It wasn’t until Suzuki released the LT250R QuadRace that Quadcross as we know it now, emerged.

1990
1990’s
Popularity of Quadcross increasing, with multiple national championships being run, across several countries and continents.

2000
2000’s
2-stroke machinery is slowly phased out, with 4-strokes being the choice of the majority. Domestic championships become increasingly contested, and the inaugural Quadcross of Nations is held in Jauer (GER) in 2009, with Team France claiming the win.

2010
2010’s
Nations from outside of Europe join the fray, with Team USA, Team Australia and Team Argentina debuting in 2017. Eastern European countries continue to dominate the European championship.

2020
2020’s
A new generation of young racers climb the ranks, eager to impress and build the foundations of their future legacy’s. Kevin Saar makes history as a 5-times European Champion, and Team USA solidify their status as the team to beat with an unprecedented 5 QXoN titles.
